Hall of Honor/Alderson Lecture
The annual Alderson Lecture and Hall of Honors luncheon celebrate the distinguished achievements of faculty, alumnus and current students in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education.
February 25th marked the 33rd Alderson lecture, and the seventh annual Hall of Honor ceremony. This year there were two additions to the Hall of Honor, and more than 40 student scholars honored.
The Alderson Lecture honors the late Dr. C.J. (Shorty) Alderson and the late Dr. Mary Buice Alderson, former faculty members who created a lasting legacy for both the University and their department.
Based on a demonstration of skill in leadership, professional involvement, service and academic research achievement, induction into the Hall of Honor is the most prestigious honor bestowed by the Department.
